Nemo’s report on Westmill Winter Series & Czypu-drom indoor race

Switching things up, Nemo hit Germany last weekend for the 2017 running of the Advent Cup, at the impressive Czypu-drom Indoor Speedway track. We arrived fresh at the venue Friday morning where practice rounds were running all day. The turnout was impressive and only got better from there on, numbers increasing that afternoon and Saturday for seeding. There was an especially strong Nemo presence with over 20 drivers running our Agama car. Burak and Berkan Kilic, Marcel Kruger and Jon Hazlewood were all seeded in the top 2 heats, giving Nemo a good chance at winning the cup.

Marco Baruffolo leaves TLR, destination XRAY?

After three years with TLR, talented italian driver Marco Baruffolo announced that he was leaving the american brand. With TLR, Marco won one italian title and was three times finalist of the European Championship and two times finalist at the Neo race. Some rumors suggest that Marco would have signed with XRAY. Micha Widmaier continues with SWORKz & TPRO tyres

SWORKz have announced that European B Champion and German champion Micha Widmaier continues to be part of the SWORKz and TPRO teams. Micha will use 1/8 and 1/10 SWORKz vehicles and also TPRO tyres in the 2018 season. Micha has the following to say about his SWORKz and TPRO tyres deals:

2017 was a almost perfect season for me. SWORKz products, but especially the great team spirit made my decision to stay in the team easy. I am looking forward to a great 2018 with Euros and Worlds. Quality of the tires and the little wear made my decision easy. “

Mugen Seiki MBX8, more details & photos revealed

After unveiling the first details of the forthcoming MBX8, Mugen Seiki have released a second part with another details and photos. The MBX8 features new FF/FR/RF/RR suspension mounts and new front and rear gearbox. The new gearbox makes allows you to remove and service the differentials without detaching the suspension arm mounts allowing easy access to the front and rear differential.

Stefano Lorenzini joins Serpent

Serpent have announced the signing of talented driver Stefano Lorenzini to their italian team. Stefano will use and promote the Cobra SRX8 EVO at the official Italian championship as well as major GP’s in Europe. Neidhart SA has secured worldwide exclusive distribution rights of the Ming-Yang Helios Flux RTR and Accel RTR 1/8 off-road buggies. First up is the Ming-Yang Helios Flux RTR 1/8 E-buggy. It offers a robust and performant design at an affordable price and it comes with a powerful 2000kV brushless motor. The construction is based on an aluminum chassis and is inspired by competition buggies. Big bore shock absorbers for best traction and metal differential gears, aluminum shock towers and ball bearings are part of the standard equipment. The materials are well chosen and the plastics of high quality. The modern body comes pre-cut, painted and decorated with a hot looking sticker set. 5th annual Big Bend Shootout report


This past weekend was held the 5th Annual Big Bend Shootout at Capital City Raceway in Florida. It rained the entire week leading up to the race but the track crew did an amazing job getting the track as ready as they could. The track presented one of the roughest and most challenging track conditions and due to the nature of the track conditions, the drivers had to completely change their normal setup to handle the rough terrain but yet, high grip conditions and extreme cold weather. In Pro Nitro Buggy it was XRAY’s Landen Lewis who managed to take the win from Tekno’s Kenny Morris, Jr. in second and Serpent’s Will McGiver in third. Serpent driver Christian Bruck and Mugen’s Carlos Segui rounded out the top 5.
