Herts Nitro Winter Series Rd2 report

Almost 100 drivers attended the second round of the Nitro Winter Series. It would be a long day with 8 heats and three rounds. The track was in great condition thanks to the HNMC track team again. Qualifying would go to Darren Bloomfield in Nitro buggy, to Rob Cockcroft in Nitro Truggy and to George Miller in E-buggy. The club decided to run 20 minute finals as this was just possible and thanks to all the racers for their quick turn rounds for transfers and marshalling. In Nitro buggy SWORKz driver Jack Embling took the win from HB Racing’s Oliver Currie in second and Agama’s Darren Bloomfield in third. Rob Cockcroft grabbed the win in Nitro Truggy from Oliver Talbot and Nicky Knights in second and third respectively. In E-Buggy it was George Miller who took the win while Pona Vasipoulos and Josh Johnson rounded out the top 3.

Carlos Guerra wins at Bolivian Nats Rd3

The third national round of the Bolivia nationals saw JQRacing driver Carlos Guerra taking the overall TQ. After some help from Joseph Quagraine and JQ’s team manager Liam Galvin, the Bolivia team find the best setup allowing Carlos to took the win from his team mate Javier Rivera in second and HB Racing driver Nico Uribe in third.

Jelin & Cavalier win at Octoberfest race

This past weekend Central Valley RC Raceway hosted the 5th annual Octoberfest race in Madera, California. In Expert Nitro Buggy it was XRAY’s Cj Jelin who took the overall TQ and the win by a lap from TLR driver Philip Atundo in second and JQ’s Jonathan Hernandez in third.  In Expert Nitro Truggy Cj took again the TQ but in the 30 minute final it was TLR driver Charlie Cavalier who cruised to the win. Cj and TLR’s Charles Beaver rounded out the top 3.

Shin Adachi joins T-Work’s

Winter is Coming race announcement

The last race of the season, “Winter is Coming” will be held on the 28nd and 29nd of October at Model Auto Club Helmond astro turf track in the Netherlands. The race will be run in 1/8 nitro and electric classes. More information can be found on Facebook and registration are available here.

Lewis brothers sign with CML & Team Associated

CML have announced that long time TLR drivers Mike and Matt Lewis have decided to join the CML Race team for the 2018 season. Lewis brothers will run the Team Associated RC8B3.1 along with Pro-Line Racing tyres, Byron RACE fuel, Savox servos and Fastrax and Centro accessories. Highly respected trackside, Mike and Matt arrive with some impressive results from 2017 with Mike finishing 5th overall in the super competitive 2017 BRCA National Series. Through the summer both raced at the hugely popular Nitro Cross Summer Series finishing 1-2 overall, Mike taking the overall series title ahead of Matt in 2nd.
